Joseph Robinette Biden has become the new president of the United States in an inauguration attendable only by the political elite surrounded by armed troops.
He held a moment of silent prayer for all those lost in the past year to the pandemic, after which the new president said “we faced an attack on our democracy and on truth.”
Biden highlighted a “raging pandemic, growing inequity, the sting of systemic racism, climate in crisis, America’s role in the world.”
The 78 year old said we are facing a “cascading crisis” in our era, calling on all to “master the hour.”
He said we must end this “uncivil war” that pits red against blue, rural against urban, conservative verses liberal.
To then say “we must reject the culture in which facts themselves are manipulated and even manufactured.”
On foreign policy the president only said “we will repair our alliances and engage with the world once again not to meet yesterday’s challenges, but today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.”
“We’ll lead not merely by the example of our power, but by the power of our example,” he said.
What example the Biden administration will set is to be seen with his calls for unity likely to fall on deaf ears as the young in particular feel cheated at an opportune pandemic just when the so called war on terror ended.
He highlights the growing inequity in just passing words, without acknowledging the investment prohibitions at the heart of this inequality that by law prohibits even SEC staff from exemption as an accredited investor under the Securities Act 1933.
The new president holds no minute of silence for the ravaged economy that mortgages the future of the young for decades to come despite no evidence whatever that these lockdowns are working since a year on we’re still at the “peak” of it.
In addition the “example of power” is precisely why the American public rejected the establishment in 2016 and almost rejected it in 2020 as well.
Yet he puts it together with the power of America’s example, which for two decades has been nothing more but devastating physical war based on fictional rhetorics of ‘war’ on pandemics or ‘terror’ that translates more to a trembling American public while leaving or entering the country, with it now extending to shops and all surroundings.
In this speech where for the first time he introduced himself to those that don’t pay much attention to politics, the lack of substance was notable with the listener left without much of an idea what this president wants to do.
It came across as if it’s none of our business, but every act and every move will be closely scrutinized because as Biden himself emphasized, democracy has prevailed and will keep prevailing.
Now thus is time to wait and see what he does, but his speech has courted our very own poem:
is roaming the world
is touching the skies
embracing all women
and all the guys.
Fear, dum dum
dances in our times,
locked in theee houses
face masks all around
a a a.
the agenda today
the trembling people
no Christmas this yeaheeheeaaaaa.
the shivering bones
the shivering children
fear now rules the world
to intellect swords
as angels and devils
pram pram pram.
the way that it was
the way of gen no nname
will fear end for once?
Rise o you people
of courage and hoppe
fear but illusion
of mass media monks.
Take oo your heeaaarrtss
and brace the light
look at the stars.
Take up a mirror,
make feare bounc
helpp up thy angeeels,
for energy dance.
